2. Rolling In The Deep
Even if you don’t regularly listen to Adele, you’ve certainly heard this track. Written before the release of her best selling album 21, Rolling In The Deep was inspired by an ex-boyfriend. Adele says that the song was her way of saying “Get the f–k out of my house instead of begging him to come back.”
The production of the song is also quite interesting. Adele met up with her producer Paul Epworth, the night before she broke up with her boyfriend. She was so angry, and so full of passion that the two were able to write the song in less than two hours. While they were recording Adele asked Paul to feel her heart beat, which was racing out of anger. He responding by setting the beat to the same tempo, and the rest is history.
